Hexbug Nano
It’s a bug’s life with the ingenious Hexbug Nano. Science and nature collide in this cool robobug from Innovation First. Imaginative, inexpensive and educational, this toy ticks all the right boxes. Brand new for 2011, these micro robotic creatures have already attracted plenty of attention in toyland.
There are 5 differently coloured Nanos to collect. Choose between orange, blue, green, purple or red. The idea is to build a Nanonation with habitats for the whole swarm. In addition to the Nano, there are also inchworms, crabs, ants and spiders available. We smell a craze coming! If you want to stay ahead of the pack, get your skates on and snap one up.
Hexbug Nano is designed to behave like the real thing. There’s never a dull moment when a Hexbug Nano is around. There’s really no telling what he’ll do next. He can skitter about in any direction, run surprisingly fast and flip over on his back. Don’t worry about putting him back on his feet, Hexbug can handle that himself.
The idea behind Hexbug Nano is similar to that at the heart of the Zhu Zhu Hamsters. However, the bugs trump the hamsters when it comes to technology. Kids can visit the Hexbug website, register their pet and play games with other collectors. There’s also an educational aspect which will go down well with parents. The website teaches children about robotic science and comes complete with downloadable photos.
Hexburg Nano is aimed at boys & girls aged 4 and over. Claim one for your own for a really reasonable £9. Batteries included. Result!
