LeapFrog Zippity
Designed to put high energy into learning, this fully interactive system introduces preschool children to the first stages of curriculum through fun physical play with some much-loved Playhouse Disney characters.
The Zippity System consists of a brightly coloured interactive bopper (basically a very large joystick) and mat, which allows kids to indicate answers to questions with their arms and feet.
Some games instruct them to use just the mat, whilst others are meant for the bopper only. Kids signify answers with a range of movements; hopping, marching, stamping or swinging, so they have to use their whole bodies, getting a physical and mental workout at the same time. They’ll also be developing co-ordination skills and enhancing decision-making abilities.
The system features 8 in-built learning educational animated activities on 2 difficulty levels, which are brought to life through the TV. All feature high quality animated Playhouse Disney characters from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, My Friends Tigger and Pooh, Little Einsteins and Handy Manny. Kids can play a car game, see the characters play different instruments or use the bopper to drive the spaceship featured on the Little Einsteins game.
There’s also a parental feature called a learning path, which allows mum and dad to keep informed on exactly which new skills their kids are discovering and chart their progress. Those with access to the internet can create a personalised online learning path for more in-depth information and educational ideas.
