Children can create and enjoy the hustle and bustle of a typical day in a busy city with this corner scene from the LEGO City range.
In addition to the fun of building the corner scene, this set offers a wide range of play possibilities, with its bright red three-storey pizzeria, bicycle repair and skate shop, big yellow bus and accompanying stop.
There are five minifigures representing different aspects of city life with which to act out scenarios: a businessman with briefcase in his hand, a uniformed bus driver, a pizza girl, a skater boy with his ‘personalised’ board and a mechanic.
Buildings and vehicles are able to be moved around allowing kids to choose the way in which the street should be arranged.
Outstanding features of the set lie in the attention to detail that makes the scene come to life in a realistic manner. The pizzeria has tables and chairs, a convincing pizza oven and the girl actually resembles a pizza chef with her white uniform and long-handled pizza scoop. Meanwhile, the bus stop is made more lifelike with the inclusion of a bin, some flowers and a streetlight and the bus itself has working doors and windows, lots of seats and even some adverts.
A visit to the bike and skate shop will reveal little touches including a CCTV camera and window display including a skateboard for skater boy to dream about.
