LEGO City Forest Police Station
Keep the outlying areas of LEGO City crime-free with the Forest Police Station (Set No. 4440). Aimed at brick fans aged 6-12, it’s an imaginative set full of intricately detailed accessories and quirky minifigures. The build is both fun and engaging with 633 pieces and the £59.99 price tag is totally justifiable. Here’s why...
For starters, the LEGO City Forest Police Station looks the part. Authenticity is at the core of all the LEGO City sets and this one is a great take on a small town US police/ranger station. Think Dukes of Hazzard.
The actual station part comes complete with watchtower, satellite dish, a cell with 3 beds and a safe. Watch out for the removable mailbox – it doubles up as an escape hatch! When constructed, the police station measures over 33cm long x 23cm high x 13cm wide.
However, it’s the minifigures that really steal the show, if you’ll pardon the pun! There are 5 in the set; 2 forest policemen, 1 pilot and 2 robbers. The robbers are the real highlight. We’re talking redneck here, folks! One has ginger sideburns and a sidelong grin and the other three-day stubble and cut-off sleeves. The policemen look the part in tan shirts and hats.
Robbers aren’t the only thing the policemen have to contend with. You’ll also find a bear in the box!
Let’s not forget the vehicles, they’re pretty cool too. The LEGO City Forest Police Station includes a helicopter with rotating blades (7cm high), a cool quad bike with heavy duty tyres and a sturdy ATV (6cm long).
There are plenty of accessories, which enhance the role play experience. The trees double up as hiding places for stolen booty and the moveable rocks reveal 2 gold bricks and 2 hundred dollar bills. You’ll also find everything a robber needs to break out and made a clean getaway, including: crowbar, pickaxe and suitcase. However, the police are fully kitted out too with handcuffs, binoculars, flashlight and 2 walkie-talkies.
The LEGO City Forest Police Station blends ingenious accessories with unusual minifigures to create a set that’s worth every penny.
