LEGO Harry Potter 4866: The Knight Bus is 2 builds in 1 toy. It can be rebuilt into a London bus or a regular bus. When fully constructed, it measures 12cm long and 15cm tall. In knight form, it’s a triple-decker beast of a bus in dark purple. This is the 2nd edition which has some new features.
As you might expect, this ain’t your average school bus! The design is ingenious and the 3 decks come apart easily. The chandelier that moves around inside the top deck is a nice touch that gives it a supernatural feel in keeping with the spirit of the films. The interiors feature seating and the base part of the bus boasts a steering wheel, gear stick and a sliding bed.
No playset would be complete without cool minifigs and LEGO 4866: The Knight Bus is no exception. Fans will be pleased to find 3 realistic minifigures inside – Harry, Stan Shunpike and Ernie Prang – complete with unique hairpiece. Hedwig the owl and the shrunken head are also lurking away inside, along with Harry’s trunk which opens to reveal a pair of socks.
Really reasonably priced at around £30, the LEGO Harry Potter Bus makes a great mid-range gift. This is a no-brainer that is guaranteed to be on the toy lists of brick kings and queens across the UK.
