An ingenious new twist on the classic board game, this brand new 3D version is based on the idea of 2-6 players battling it out to become property tycoons. Build schools, skyscrapers and stadiums and speculate on the market in an attempt to outwit opponents and acquire the coveted Monopoly City Tower.
Although Monopoly City is a game in its own right, it retains a number of the features that made the original such a classic. The aim of the game is still to buy properties and collect rent from anyone unfortunate enough to land on them. The Community Chest cards have disappeared, but the Chance ones remain. Naturally, you can still go to jail! Spend too much time behind bars and you’ll go bankrupt.
One of the main differences that makes Monopoly City unique and tons of fun to play is that you all start with loads of money! Each player is able to build on properties immediately, without having to collect the whole set. There’s also the addition of a new device for the compulsory timed auctions, which usually results in bidding wars and plenty of laughs! All these neat little benefits add up to create a game that runs along at a much faster pace than the original. It’s definitely a great game to play while you all wait for Christmas lunch to go down!
