Every year, the Toy Retailers Association releases their definitive list of the year’s top 12 toys. Competition for a sought-after spot on the list is pretty fierce. The toys that appear on it are the industry’s official prediction of those set to be Christmas bestsellers.
To make the grade, a toy must represent current trends and be inventive, well-designed, and (for this year) under £50. For 2009, the emphasis is on a ‘credit-crunch Christmas’ with affordable toys that represent great value for money and longevity. These toys are for life, not just for Christmas!
